LGA 1155 socket pins

Are the pins in the LGA 1155 socket supposed to stick straight up? because on my socket they look as if they are coming up on a diagonal. Thanks

Yes theyre supposed to be straight. Did ur board get damaged during shipping?

I dont think that the pins are damaged because the are all very regularly oriented. Also the direction of the pins change on the other L-shaped set of pins, which leads me to believe that they weren't damaged, otherwise the direction would remain the same. I found a photo which shows what my socket looks like. Ignore the red circle, it is part of an article on socket burn

Oh, that seems ok, try it with a cpu. By diagonal I thought u meant they were fulling inclined

Thanks for the replies! I now have faith in my sockets integrity . Oh and I did find this Tom's Hardware post in which the OP had the same thoughts that I did, except that instead of looking it up he first tried to see if he could bend them. lol
