Hey everyone,
So just 2 days ago my G.Skill RipJawsX 1600mhz 8GB Single stick burnt. It has one burnt pin. Used in a Maximus IV Extreme-Z but not overclocked or overvolted. How common is this and is it likely that they'll repair it - when I gave it in to my retailer (MSY AU) they said that they'll "try" getting warranty on it. It's only a few months old.

Solution

A burnt pin is unfortunately one of the rare times we can not accept a RMA request. It is a very rare occurrence, always make sure modules are firmly inserted to prevent potential problems.

Thank you
