the 5000+ black edition for 130 $ seems to be a good cpu overall.
now if i get it with an asus m2n-32 sli deluxe board,
will the am2 socket support the upcoming amd cpus--the phenom ?

I need to assemble a second pc and this is what i have decided upon:
amd black edition 5000+
asus m2n 32 sli deluxe
kingston ddr2 800mhz --1gbx2 =2gb ram
8800gt(when it comes out!)
seagate 250gb sata 2 harddrive
liteon/sony/asus sata dvd writer
antec 550watts psu
coolermaster cavalier case

i can always sell the 5000+ black edition later when phenom cpus come out

also in the 5000+ black edition review - the reviewer said "We are offering AMD's posters for download from our servers, at a resolution of 2250 x 2265 pixels."
can anyone help me with the link???
thanks!

If I were you I would wait with the 8800GT, AMD will be offering some interesting competition to that card soon.
Also, maybe even wait untill phenom shows up, and decide on the amd/intel choice then.

If you're gonna wait for the 8800GT, might as well wait for the Phenom...Still I personally think, even though couple bucks more, intel e6550 is a better deal because of better overclocking potential and lower energy consumption.

I too want to get those posters...even though I have an Intel :D
