My son-in-law is trying to put together a new desktop computer. He has the case, power supply and I'm sending him 4 gigs of DDR3 Memory that I'm not using. He needs a Motherboard and CPU. Hopefully the Motherboard will have a video chip along with a network and sound chip on it.

I am not concerned whether it's AMD or Intel....just hoping to find something for $100 or less for the Motherboard and CPU.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Here is the Intel® Celeron® G1610 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

and here is the

ASRock H61M-DSG http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

The processor does have the IGP (Integrated Graphics on Processor) build into the processor to use the D-sub and the DVI off the board for the graphics. Now these will not be high end graphics but for general every day use they should work fine.

Why would it matter if it's Micro ATX, that's what is in most computers.

I wish both were the ATX Form Factor which is what I would be looking for. Both of these are Micro ATX. I do appreciate you suggesting these but do neet a Motherboard that will fit in a mid tower case.

Thanks for clearing that up.....both of these recommendations look good and I will let my son-in-law make the decision.
