I would like some help with a build I plan on doing this summer
Components:
Case: NZXT Crafted Series Tempest 410 Elite Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case $79.99
Motherboard: ASRock Fatal1ty 990FX Professional
GPU: XFX HD-687X-CNFC Radeon HD 6870 2GB 256-bit $219.99
PSU: NZXT HALE82 HALE82-850-M 850W $139.99
RAM: CORSAIR XMS3 8GB $48.99
LED: NZXT CB-LED10-RD Sleeved LED Kit - Red, 1 m $22.99
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 975 Black Edition $149.99
CPU Cooler: CORSAIR H100 $114.99
HDD: Seagate ST310005N1A1AS-RK 1TB $109.99
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit $99.99

Total: $1,176.90

Additional Info:
I would like to do SLI or Crossfire.
I don't care to much for an SSD.
I'd prefer and AMD CPU because of it's price, but if you can do a better pc with an Intel go for it, but i want to keep the H100
I'd like to keep the case and the MOBO, unless you find a red/black MOBO for a cheaper price that's as good.
Really want SLI or Crossfire.
I know prices can fluxuate.
Also forgot a CD drive, please include that. :??:

You will find your options will drastically change over the next few weeks with the release of Ivy bridge. Could I change your mind and convince you to go with an intel?
Once Ivy bridge is released the prices of the sandy bridge cpus will plummet, allowing you to get much better gaming performance for your buck. The phenom x4 is for a complete budget build, and for what you are doing SLI I would recommend the i5 2500 or 2500k. I will post some benchmarks for you, displaying the difference in FPS using an x4 and a 2500k with the same graphics cards.

I recently did a gaming build for a friend in roughly the same price range as your computer. What country and specific location do you live in? (i.e. state)

Spending way too much on a psu, gpu, and cooling.
A 6870 should only be roughly $150 and a quality 650w will run your entire system easily.

How about this:
i5-2500k
asrock z68 extreme 3 gen 3
saphire 6870
Antec 900
Cooler master hyper 212+
Corsair tx650W
Corsair vengeance 8gb

Thats the exact same build I had in mind for him, but I think he was looking for a 2 gigabyte card, though I don't see what that would be used for
