Bottleneck?

I recently added a second EVGA 570 to my rig for a sli setup and with Ivy Bridge around the corner, started wondering if my CPU and/or motherboard is a bottleneck on my system.

Currently, I got the following...

i7 920 C0 @ 3.36 GHz
Gigabyte x58-UD3R (Note, NOT the x58a)
OCZ Gold 6gb RAM 1600 8-8-8-24 PC3 12800
120GB OCZ Agilty 3 SSD
Seasonic X 1050W
Corsair H80

I'm wondering if a upgrade to z77 and IB would be a worthwhile upgrade (would need some good dual channel RAM as well I suppose) any suggestions?

unless you are having problems with what you have now, why upgrade?

of course there is "better" but your rig looks rather balanced. there really is NO performance increase from sandy to ivy unless some late breaking benchmark busts out.

wait for haswell.
