Ram upgrade on presario6000

Hello,
I want to upgrade ram on this cpu.
original stick is a DDR64MB/PC2100/266MHZ SAMSUNG
I want to replace it with a bigger stick 1GB.DD2 DIMM.1 WILL THIS BE OK

Your board only recognizes 512 mb per slot for a total of 1 gb. Don't waste your money on a 1 gb stick. You need two 512 mb sticks (assuming you only have two ram slots).

Acc to crucial your system supports 1GB DDR memory modules. You can upgrade upto 2GB, if your system has an AMD athlon processor. Else let me know your HP product number.

If you meant that you want to upgrade with 1GB DDR2 memory when you say "I want to replace it with a bigger stick 1GB.DD2 DIMM" then you must that it is impossible. It'd be better if you go with a new system.
