How to check if a bsod happened...

i have a feeling that there was a bsod when i had left my computer to download a file because when i came back some half an hour later, i found the error that windows has recovered from an unexpected error, plz check online for solutions....in fact today was the first time in around 2 months that i installed my windows updates, and i did them in stes of three with two batches.

2nd batch) KB2538242, Kb2565063, KB2538243
can anyone plz help?

Try looking in the event viewer, Control Pannel, Administritive Tools, Event Viewer. Look under Windows>System and look for any errors.

thanks man, i found AN ERROR at about the same time, it says:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000001a (0x0000000000041287, 0x0000000000000030, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 010712-42385-01.
any help on how to solve this?
