I recently bought this fan controller which caused my 180mm fan to make a strange buzzing vibration noise. I cannot replicate the noise when the fan is plugged straight into the PSU.
This is the controller I'm returning, and the fan I'm using which was having problems when wired through the controller:

A comment on the Newegg reviews for the controller says someone had a similar problem with certain Coolermaster fans and that the problem persisted across several different model controllers he tried. I've already decided to return the fan controller, but I am left debating whether I should try another model controller or entirely drop the idea of using a controller.
Any recommendations or advice?
Thanks!
