Hey all,

I recently upgraded from a 17 inch samsung LCD to a 24 inch Samsung LED and in preparation of Star Wars: The Old Republic, I have been looking over my computer to ensure its ready. I know it's been a few years since I bought a video card, has the technology changed enough to warrant an upgrade from my GeForce 9800GTX/GTX+? Thanks!

Check out this link- it's a heirarchy of gpu performance. Even a middle of the road card like an HD 6870 or GTX 560 will provide substantially better performance. Whether or not that's worth it to you all depends on what resolution and settings you'd like to play games at.

What's your price range? Resolution?

Wow that's a nice link, very timely!
I try to play on the best resolution that my card will handle, I think WoW was at 1600 x 1024? I can't remember since I deactivated my sub, currently running Windows XP at 1920 by 1080 if that helps.
I'd like to keep the budget under 300.00 if possible, 200.00 would be optimum, but as I got my current card in Summer of 2008, I'd like to get something that would be able to last me at least 3 years at above average results...

Current Power Supply: Antec True Power Trio TP3-650 650W ATX12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply with Three 12V Rails

Edit: Currently looking at the three different GTX 560 models:
EVGA GeForce GTX 560 2048MB Superclocked, 259.99
EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti Superclocked, 249.99
EVGA GeForce GTX 560, 189.99

Looked at the specs of each, but not sure whether or not it's worth it for an additional 70.00 to go with the 2048 vs. 1024 MB memory, more shaders, slightly faster processor, but haven't found a good comparison article of the three either...
