I cant figure out how to dissable my onboard graphics

i got a new vid card and it has one gig of ram but in display properties it sais i have 4 gigs video ram, 1 gig dedicated and 3 gigs shared. how can i make the onbord igpu stop stealing my ram? my mobo is p8h67-m lx i have tried different settings in the bios but it hasnt changed anything, plz help me

It's there to confuse people lol Just disable on-board video in BIOS, and thats it, the information under advanced and Adapter in Windows is like theoretical in case its needed windows can allocate that much, and even "dedicated video memory" part can be totally wrong,

If you need check how much ram your card got, run program called GPUz, video card will only use ram if you set it up in bios to use it,
