Hello guys,
I want to buy an Alienware comupter, the M17x with a little custom changes..
Heres the spec :
Intel® Core™ i7 2670QM 2.2GHz (3.1GHz w/Turbo Boost, 6MB Cache)
8GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1600MHz (4DIMMS)
1.5GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M
17.3-inch WideFHD 1920x1080 120Hz WLED w/ NVIDIA 3D Vision Bundle
Up to 1500GB3 hard drive (7200RPM)

That is pretty much the important stuff..

Now my question is, will this setup be able to run today's modern games such as Dirt 3, Battlefield 3 and FullHD movies without lagging or slowing down ?
If you can state any performance issues such as "Medium quality only for BF3 " for example that will be of great help.
The emphesize is on FullHD movies and racing games..

PS, does the NVIDIA 3D Vision Bundle worth it ?

Thanks from advance,
Spectalecy.

The 560m is the rough equivelant to the GTS 450. As the GTS 450 averages around 40 FPS for most games at 1920 x 1080 at high/max settings, it should do fine. Playing the game in 3D will hurt your FPS. To answer your question about whether or not 3D is worth it, that depends on you. Do you really need to play a game in 3D? If you want to, then its worth it. If not, then its a waste.

HD movies will play very smoothly and you will have no issues on that set up.
