Case Front Intake Fan Question?

Hi everyone.

So basically I bought this fan:

It comes uses standard 4 pin molex.

I have a NZXT Phantom full tower case, I bought that as an intake fan, if I use molex power, the LED will always be on, and I won't be able to use the fan controller.

So is this what I need to convert it to 3 pin? So that I can use it with my fan controller?

There's also this which is cheaper, so I'm wondering if it does the same thing?

Thanks!

  1. Sure, on the 2nd link.

But are you sure it comes with a Molex plug only? Most fans come with an adapter to turn the 3-pin (to motherboard or fan controller) to a 4-pin Molex (to power supply).

You are going the other way: 4-to-3.

So both of the adapters in the links are fine?

It doesn't state if it includes it, I'm not going to wait for if to come then order an adapter, I wanna be able to get it all set up at once.
