FPS Issues with crossfire

Hey, first time posting here so i apologize if this isn't the optimal forum to post in regarding this issue.

2x HD 5850 (crossfire)
AMD Phenom x6 1090 Black edition
8 GB 1600 MHz RAM (Corsair something..)

Don't know everything in detail, sorry, regardless i don't think that precise specifications are too relevant since there seems to be no problems with the hardware what so ever.

Anyhow, I just now bought and installed the Elder Scrolls game, Skyrim. And I'm running extremeley low fps for some reason, even at low settings. I know that my system can handle a game like this since i'm running games like Battlefield 3 and Crysis 2 at maxed settings and high fpsl. What i want to know is if there's something i can do to improve the performance for a specific game or any other solution to this. Thanks:)

your best bet would be to check the obsidian forum and their tech support. since the game is brand new, it could be a driver issue (make sure drivers are up to date) or the game needs a patch to support multi-card systems (often the case with new games)
