RAM Help

I have GA-78LMT-USB3. I want to know to what extent of Mhz my motherboard supports?

In Gigabyte's website it is mentioned that it has support for 1333+ (O.C.)/1066 MHz memory modules, but in many forums it is written that it has native support for DDR3-1866.

So what is the difference between the two and the max speed supported?

It supports up to 1600 mhz, the rest is downgraded to 1600 mhz.

Do you mean to say that any speed beyond 1600Mhz will be cut down to only work at 1600Mhz?

Also explain the native support that it provides for DDR3-1866 as in

  3. The cpu supports it, but the motherboard don't(it's what it says in the qvl of that motherboard).
I don't know if it's possible to overclock to those speeds.
