New computere parts question

I am getting a bundle from intel it will consist of
ntel® Core™2 Quad Q6600 processor

* 2.4 GHz, 1066 MHz Front Side Bus, 8MB L2 Cache
Intel® Desktop Board DG33TL Media Series

Windows Vista* Home Premium Edition
Price $219.00

i have a computer now specs

AMD X2 3800 2.0Ghz
3GB ram DDR400
Geforce 79050 GT 256 XFX (replacement from my older 7900 GT that went bad not my first choice)
250 Gb Hard drive
Windows XP SP2
i have a few questions


#1 is the bundle mentioned above a g ood deal seeing as i am a Casual gamer now that im older
#2 How much can i get for my old system if i decide to sell it
#3 what case How much Ram and what video card to get i have plenty of Hard drives and an extra DVD writer laying around already
#4 how much of a boost do you think i will see going from the old to new system

1. If your getting the processor mainboard and OS at the price it is good
2. Not much
3. Depends how much money. If you are going for 64bit Vista then 4gb of ram at 800mhz as for video depends on how much you play 8800GTX for top end 8800GTS or 2900 for mid range. Although the 8800GT is around the corner. Case if you are getting GTX you gotta make sure it fits other than that i like Lian-Li and Antec.
4. CPU will be a nice jump and then it depends on what Resolution and what GPU you get to how much gaming performance you get.

I have a Samsung Monitor Running a 1440X900 Resolution
I plan on playing games such as Guild wars from time to time Crysis
Unreal Tournament 3 Call of duty 4 ect

Also i have Windows Vista Ultimate From a Bundle of a Core 2 Duo/Mobo Vista Last year i havent installed yet

Your current vid card will do nicely if you play the games in DX9 mode. You could get a lesser card for the old system and sell the whole thing. It would bring more dollars than parting it out.
