The new memory you tried to use in your motherboard is not supported, you should have checked the motherboard specs. Which revision of motherboard do you have? there are six revisions of that motherboard. You should clear the CMOS as per motherboard instructions, then load default settings in BIOS, you can go back later and tweek the settings if you want. Please only use memory that is supported by motherboard!

I believe that RAM should be supported fine on that board. The MB should recognize up to 32GB of 2133MHZ (and faster) memory. Granted, yours isn't on the manufacturer's QVL, but the QVL is just a list of memory they have tested. My first thought after you having tried even your old RAM, is a faulty board or memory controller.

The bios says 1333 mhs freq but doesn't show size.i have cpuid and it says in general 16384 size and 2214 in nb frequency in a single channel. in timmings it says DRAM frequency 671.2 mhz fsb:Dram 3:10 cas#Latency (cl) 0.0 clocks tecd 9 clocks trp 9 clock cycle time 24 clocks and bank cycle time 33 clock. i think that looks right beside my channels but what does that mean. and i getting 16 or 12? and why is it in single channel when my mobo suppose to have duel? is it because the cards are quad?Sorry for my un-intelligence guys. just curious

OK. The BIOS is showing that some of your memory is not being recognized, just as Windows is. Now we know it is either a problem with the board (DIMM slot possibly) or with the RAM sticks.
Do this:
Try a single stick in the first slot and boot to BIOS and see if it recognizes it correctly. Then move it to the 2nd slot and boot to BIOS and check again. Continue in each slot. If one of the slots is bad, you won't be able to boot to BIOS or it won't show up correctly in BIOS.

Ok sorry it took me so long to get back but i did the test and here's what i got. With one stick i went through all the slots and tried turning on the pc. slots DDR3_1 and DDR3_3 would power on but wouldn't go to bios or nothing would boot at all. DDR3_2 and DDR3_4 would go to bios and boot up like normal. With one stick at a time in slots 2 and 4 it showed me this Base memory 640k and ext. memory 4078. then i tryed two stick in 2 and 4 and it booted up and said base 640k and ext. as 8174 and did not change from that as i proceeded to put all the sticks in and reboot. does that mean the slots on my mobo are bad? and does it mean that it would support the full memory if it was working? or could me putting these cards in be a possible cause of damage? Next steps please and thank you again for helping me as i am always trying to learn especially from my mistakes.

From your description, I would have to say that slots 1 and 3 are obviously not working. That indicates the board is defective. If you can still RMA it, I advise you do that. Either for replacement or refund.

Yes, slots 2 and 4 are reporting correctly for 4MG sticks. Assuming you inserted/removed sticks with the power off and grounded yourself before touching the components and didn't damage anything physically, you can rest assured you didn't hurt anything. Since MBs have the vast majority of a PC's components on them, it is not unusual to see a bad board occasionally.

Yea i have had this board for about 2 years now so i dont think they will take it back but its ok. I think ill just get a new one in the future. I did make sure to turn it off and ground out before i did anything to it so i guess it was just its time. thank you so much for the help and ill remember this for next time.

I have had the same problem as you . i fixed it by simply taking out your sticks of ran ,using a brand new very fine paint brush and gently go over the slots and put the sticks pack in .this worked for me it might work for you as well
