Will AMD Bulldozer FX6100 3.3GHz 14MB Cache Processor work on a gigabyte M68MT-S2P motherboard ?? I updated the bios updated on 2011/01/03. will I be able to operate FX6100 perfectly ? or Do I need another motherboard ? I already have a Phenom II X2 Processor on it. I also have a Sapphire HD 7770 and 8GBs of RAM ! btw my Mobo supports 8GB. Is that correct ?

Solution
As Zariff's motherboard bios is dated 2011/01/03, that bios was only used on version 3.0 (socket AM3), so no AM3+ socket.
Version 3.1 (AM3+ Socket) never had a bios version that old.

So he needs to buy a new motherboard for the FX processor.

Or stick to the Phenom II cpus.

Phenom II X4 965 (4-core, 3.4Ghz) sell on eBay for around $75 ($95 new).
Phenom II X6 1055 (6-core, 2.8Ghz) sell new for around $99.

Impressive detective work. The earliest BIOS (1st release) was dated 2011/06/01 for the 3.1 version of that board. So obviously he has the older version. Very good!

Sorry for being this late, guys !

After I posted my question, I did some GOLD digging (and you might say that why I did it? because got confused with rev 3.1 and 3.0)

Tacoboy and BerylLee both made the right points !!

Yes, I have 3.0 and i know I have no other options except the "Phenom II X6 1100T" (see support list>> http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=3726) and will it be better on this mobo ??

I mean will it run on its full potentials (I've heard that older mobo's have hardware specification or sth like that) ??

If so, will the Phenom II X6 1100T be a better choice than that FX 6100 or even AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 2.8GHz minus the extra bucks ??

I want a better gaming performance than before !

Specs:

AMD Phenom II X2 560
Gigabyte 500watt PSU
ATI HD 7770 ghz edition oc
8 GBs of RAM
500 GB WDC Blue
