Not sure where to put this since there is no monitor subsection. I'm looking to get a monitor for my new Gaming build, and was wondering if any one has suggestions or ideas on what I should look for in a monitor.

Build:
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor

Motherboard: ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard

Memory: Patriot Signature 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

Video Card: GIGABYTE Super Overclock Series GV-N570SO-13I GeForce GTX 570

Some monitors I was looking at:

The last monitor. I'll miss out on the promotion probably.

Solution
I can only give my personal preference, but I would not buy a 27" monitor that only has a resolution of 1920X1080. I have a 23" 1080p monitor and see pixelation from its low pixel density. A 27" 1080p monitor would only have a worse pixel density. If I were to buy a 27" monitor I would be looking for a resolution of 2560 x 1440 so pixelation won't be so obvious. But the downside to a higher pixel density means a higher price tag. Also, I would be going with IPS panels instead of TN for better viewing angles and color accuracy, but I get picky with monitors :)

Anyways, that is just my opinion. I do suggest trying to look at whatever monitor you decide on in person before purchasing it. If there is a best buy or frys around you that has...

That seems like a pretty good choice too. What makes you want to choose this monitor?

Yeah I looked at the next level of resolution, but it is outside my price range. Thanks for the IPS tip, and suggestion of checking it out in person.

I just got the Planar using that deal (can't beat that price), its been great so far, it took me a bit to get the color right on it (still not perfect but close). Haven't notice any pixelation on it and it plays games great at 1080p and btw the this is HUGE, loving all the real estate it give me =D

Well I thought it over and I decided to wait scrape more cash together. I'm looking at getting the dell u2711
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824260038&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-Monitors%20-%20LCD%20Flat%20Panel-_-DELL-_-24260038&AID=10440897&PID=3938566&SID=

Your right from what I can tell better color, view angle, and I'm liking the tilt angle adjustment of the monitor. Love to get the 30" u3011, and push my gtx 570 resolution to the max, but it is like 400$ more :(

So much for trying to stay on budget

That is one of the best monitors out there. Absolutely stunning color accuracy, great viewing angles, and great resolution. It also allows you to rotate the monitor in almost any possible way you can think of. I have a dell u2311, which is basically the 23" version of that, and I love it.
