Hello,
I bought on eBay a used CPU (Intel Pentium 4 3.40GHz Prescott socket 478 1M L2 Cache FSB 800MHz)
After replacing my old CPU (2.8 GHZ Northwood) i got a beep and a message below every time i try to reboot my computer.The message is this one : Alert this processor is not supported on this system it will run on reduced speed.
After checking the BIOS, the clock speed stays on 2.80 GHz and L2 Cache 512 KB
I updated the BIOS before i replace the CPU The new BIOS UPDATE IS A07 (According to Dell website manufacturer)
How can I fix this
