Asus P9X79 Prob?

ok, today I got the mb and cpu and all installed but when got to ready to power on, i get 1 long beep and 2 short beeps after that over and over, the memory that my customer choose was g.skill, so I swapped it out and put in the other one no beeps but nothin comes on screen, kinda stumped here, they are both the same memory and brand new, changed slots and all dont make a difference not sure what to do next, first time to build a pc but have changed out processors and other components in OEM's PC's so maybe im missin somethin??

They are both g.skill Ripjawsx, ddr3-1600, F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM

Most of the problems on the X79 are because of a bad stick of ram. Run memtest86 on your modules, i guarantee you will find a problem.

What other dimms can you use?

sadly I dont, my only current pc's are ddr2, and ddr1's lol

haha this is my first time to build a whole pc, im use to repairing and upgradein oem's, but now that i know the ram was not wright just by lookin online im feelin way better haha
