Hello, its me again, basically im running a Alienware-51 from a year and a half ago, and I been trying to get it to see the Ram I have installed, it will only see 8 gigs. I am running windows pro 64 bit on it and I tried switching around and reseating yet it will still only see 8 gigs in bios, but 12 gigs in windows.
Does anyone have any suggestions? The ram is the corsair XMS3 3 x 4GB Kit. DDR3
If you got time to MODERATE you got time to answer if you got the knowledge, you are moderating a tech forum afterall.
I google searched, looked up other peoples problems, and havent found anything similar to what I got. Again I am running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, im using the ram I mentioned above, the MB is reading 12 gigs in Windows but not on the bios, it seems to detect the ram in its slots. I would appreciate any advice that can be given.
I will bump this every few days, so that people who can answer will see it, instead of moderators who just go page to page looking for things to flex their authority.
