Hello,
looking to build a new computer. Will probably OC and I have not decided on a video card yet. don't think I will use SLI/Crossfire at this time. Online gaming, COD etc. Here is what I am looking at:

ASUS Maximus IV Extreme-Z ROG Motherboard - ATX, Socket H2 (LGA1155), Intel Z68 Express, 2200MHz DDR3

Intel Core i7-2600K Unlocked Processor - Quad Core, 8MB L3 Cache, 1MB L2 Cache, 3.40 GHz, Socket H2 (LGA1155),

Corsair CMX8GX3M2A2000C9 XMS3 8GB DDR3 RAM Kit - 2x 4GB, PC16000, 2000MHz

Corsair CMPSU-850AX AX850 Power Supply - ATX, Modular, 850 Watt, 120mm Ultra-Quiet Fan

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64BIT Operating System Software -

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

What do you plan on using for an HDD? Do you have an ssd for this build or have you even considered it? Personally I think the rig is severe overkill but I know there are people out there that want the best of the best

If you are not one of these people I would recommend going with the core i5-2500k (better for gaming unless you need HT for something), a cheaper mobo and 1600 mhz ddr3 ram.

To further assist you we require some more information. What is your budget? Are there any parts you don't need? Other than gaming what would you use it for?

Both of these are extreme overkill. The Maximus IV is a good motherboard especially for ROG, but you don't really need the features if all you're doing is casual gaming. You also don't need the i7 either. These would be better options:

I also don't see a GPU, monitors, or case. If the OP has to have the best of the best maybe consider that Micro ATX build from a couple months ago:
