I'm gonna buy a new hard drive for my business computer, like a 13-15 gig one. I want a good quality hard drive that will last a long time and wont get bad sectors. What is the best brand to buy??? Maxtor, Western Digital, Seagate, Quantum...? Thanks.

In this order IBM, Seagate, Western Digital, Maxtor , Quantum , Fujitsu...

I have owned IBM, Seagate, Western Digital, Maxtor, and Fujitsu drives. Of all of them I have had the least problems with IBM. They make fast reliable drives that are hard to beat.

Personally, I'd put Quantum up there just below IBM. I have a Quantum Fireball AS and it's slightly faster than my old IBM 75 GXP. It is slightly louder though, but I'd have to unplug my case fan to notice it.

Why do I even try?
