The case still glows in Sleep Mode

My problem is this: When my PC goes to sleep the front light on the case still glows - but unlike when the PC is fully on and all the 3 front lights are constantly glowing, when the PC goes to sleep only the central of those 3 light remains - and it shimmers (doesn't glow constantly like when the PC is on) - this may be a normal behavior but the shimmering light drives me insane.
HOW can I make it to turn off when the PC goes to sleep (like the other 2 lights) or even better to just glow regularly (like when the PC is on) - so I do have some sort of an indicator that the PC is in sleep mode and not turned off.

My relevant Hardware specs:
Case: NZXT's Lexa S Crafted Series (http://www.nzxt.com/new/products/crafted_series/lexa_s)
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z68-V PRO bios version: 1101
OS: Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

Put some electrical tape over the led. That is the quick and dirty solution. Otherwise you can fiddle with the power settings which may (or may not) work. I use the electrical tape solution myself after having tried the power settings.

Another approach is to disconnect the led wires from the mobo.

The problem is complex because each case OEM has different wiring.
