I've been a long time browser of the forums here and recently built my first computer. Everything seems to be running fine except when I run Prime95 while monitoring temperatures with RealTemp all 4 cores of my i5 2500k jump up to 70c almost immediately and then creep up to ~90c over a few minutes (at which point I stop running the test). The idle temperatures are ~33c. My specs are:

Processor: Intel i5-2500k
PSU: Seasonic x-series 750w
GPU: EVGA gtx770hd
Mobo: Biostar TP67XE
RAM: Gskill ripjaws 8gb
SSD: Crucial M4 128gb
Case: Fractal R3

I haven't overclocked or touched anything in BIOS.

I've been searching for solutions to this and have tried the following:

- Took off and put back on the 2500k stock heatsink/cpu fan. I've done this 3 times, using AS5 thermal compound and following online directions closely, haven't really seen any noticeable changes

- Ran prime95 with the sides of the case off, didn't really help the temperatures. The Fractal R3 comes with 2 case fans which is all I'm using right now.. I could see the reason to add 1-2 more fans but don't think that explains how high these temperatures are

Is there anything I could be missing? Really appreciate any advice.
