365 WMaximum Graphics Card Power (W)
700 WMinimum System Power Requirement (W)
Two 8-pinSupplementary Power Connectors

would that ram/cpu be a bottleneck point for the GTX 590? maybe some others more knowledgeable than me could assist

what is the target resolution, if it's 1920x1080 or less that seems some overkill

You have an old dual core if you buy a gtx 590 your cpu would most definitely bottleneck your system, even a lesser graphics card would most likely bottleneck your system as well.

a 590 is not a good card in terms of dollars/performance, your better off getting a gtx 560 ti or a 570. However, depending upon the game, you cpu will bottleneck both of those cards as well.

If I was in you shoes I would buy the 560 ti and perhaps upgrade to a quad core 775 socket (assuming your mobo supports quads. You would be better off if you upgraded to a quad cpu and bought the gtx 560 ti than buying a gtx 590. the options would cost about the same (off the top of my head).

edit. What monitor resolution are you playing on???

590 with a dual core is pretty insane to do. Buy a 6950 and take that cash you saved and buy a 2500k and a 100usd Biostar mobo

Hello,

Thanks for your informations. I use 1920x1080 :)
Well, if I choose a GTX 580 + Quad Core, would it be good ?

Sorry for my bad english :/

The fact that your CPU is dual-core is only part of the problem. Frankly, the generation of chips that will fit in the 775 socket will bottleneck a GTX 590, so unless you can upgrade your motherboard and RAM too (in which case everyone here will suggest an i5-2500K) then don't bother with a GTX 590.

Your better off buying a gtx 570 or a 560 ti at that resolution

heres a brief rough budget in american dollars (I don't know where you live or your prices so they could differ)

mobo-120-200.00 (lga 1155 socket)
CPU- 220.00 (I5-2500k)
GPU- 230-350 depending upon which gpu.

Total cost -570.00-750. Still less than a gtx 590.

no - still it is likely you bottleneck (limit) the graphics performance due to the processor speed/type.
i speak from experience, an older system I have had a Q6600 (quad core) 775 socket cpu and did limit a single GTX 460 (the 460 runs at 560 speeds+)

please follow the advice of thesnappyfingers

If I change of Mobo, I have to buy DDR3 Ram, CPU + GFX :/

On 1080p and a bit of a OC and youll be ok
But save the cash. Build a nice Sandy system with a 6950. That will run on your resolution perfect. Rather than wasting it on a card where a guy with a 6950 will see the same fps as you

With the cost of a 590 at around 700-800 dollars. My advice to you is. By and intel core i5-2500K ~ $240 buy a descent SB motherboard~ $200 buy yourself a nice 6950 ~ $270 then spend the remaining ~ 50ish dollars on some new ram :)  and you wil have a good gaming system

Forgot to add the ram to the budget, this cost typically about $50.00 for 8 gbs @1600 Mhz.

I only (as well as others) suggested the full upgrade option because we thought that your budget was 700+.

This is because you said you wanted the gtx 590.

by doing all of these upgrades, you will see large performance increases. More so than just buying a gtx 590.

Those upgrades cost the same has a GTX 590 but you'll get more performance boost, Pok

Thanks a lot to everyone, I'll think on these upgrades now ! :)
