I see all this talk about "Bottlenecking" the cpu or GPU, I get the jist of the meaning but just wondering if my build will have the problem. i have a good budget ($1000, a little more if neccesary) and i want it to be a good build for a 6 months to a year.
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 970 Black Edition Deneb 3.5GHz http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
GPU: GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 (Superclocked) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Thanks in advance

Yeah... Pretty nice bottleneck you got there. If it's a thousand dollars, you might wanna go for a GTX 570 and an i5 2500k...

+1 on the i5 2500k or just the 2500 if you have no interest in over-clocking. To be honest that CPU won't bottleneck as such but it's not so future proof.

JW, but would a 7970 and i5-2500k be a bottleneck?

No. 7970 is about the same as a 590 and I'm pretty sure an i5 won't bottleneck a 590.

Would the 560 ti be fine instead of the 570? that's a $120 jump
