Hello everyone,

I am building my first computer and was just wondering if all the parts were compatible. Since this is my first computer I am keeping the cost low just in case I screw anything up. That being said I plan on using this thing for 2-2 1/2 years as I save to build my second and way better computer. So will this thing be able to handle games such as dcuo and star wars: TOR?

Gpu will be a Gigabyte Radeon HD 5770 or something similar.

This is a extreme budget build I know, but other priorities force me to build this and wait a little longer to save 1-2k for my main rig.

Hello Betlosedrink;

Your parts are compatible. But if your graphics card is going to be in the HD 5770 class you might as well save some money with a CPU/MB combo like this:
Athlon II X3 450 Rana 3.2GHz & BIOSTAR N68S3+ AM3 - $108.98

If you can - spend that savings on a better graphics card.

The gpu is only a temp card. I plan on upgrading it asap. It will probably last me a month or so then I will upgrade it. The card is just one I'm getting from a friend. With that said, should I stick with the currents parts I have?
