I just installed an MSI Radeon 9800 pro 128mb on my Dell 400SC. When I start up the computer I can hear the computer going through the bootup process, I can hear the fan spinning on the Radeon 9800, but the screen is black...and stays that way until I turn off the computer. When I reinstall my previous card, All in Wonder Radeon 7500, the display works normally.

Can someone help me troubleshoot this, or at least tell me if this card is compatible with the computer (it's supposed to be).

Ah, the classic 9800 Pro, I used to use one of these for gaming back in the day. Well the 9800 is an AGP 8x card if I remember correctly, so as long as your mobo has an AGP slot you should be good to go. Since your 7500 works fine, I don't see why your 9800 wouldn't work. Seems like a problem with the 9800 itself to be honest.

I tried it on a different computer, also a P4 with Win2000 running. It's working fine there, so the problem must be between the card and the Dell 400SC computer. I also acquired an Asus AH3450 which runs on the Dell 400SC, but is stuck in 640x480 mode since I haven't found any Win2000 drivers for it. So now I have two problems.
