So this is going to be my first build and I haven't decided on whether or not I should get the Gigabyte http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... or the Asrock http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... SO. I need your help guys which one would you prefer and why?

Uhm, your link for the ASRock is wrong.

So, I can't really say based on that.

But, a year ago I would never have suggested an ASRock board. Now however, I would easily recommend them. They have become a very solid brand, and make excellent products for great prices.

Definitely the Extreme 4 over the Gigabyte board.

I definitely love both brands, but you are going to get a lot more features for your money going ASRock.

If it were the Extreme6, I'd say ASRock all the way. Since it's the 4 though, I'd call it a toss-up. The 4 uses weaker VRMs than the 6 does. If you are particularly interested in [high] overclocking, either move up to the 6 or get the Gigglebyte.
