No power single beep from K/B

Connect power to PC and all I get is a single beep from keyboard and lights flash on keyboard. The power supply fan does not come on and power switch is dead.

Changed power supply and unplugged all peripherals so nothing except K/B, memory, cpu, speaker and power on switch.

Gigabyte GA-z68x-ud3h-b3 with intel CPU.

Help appreciated.

what cpu being used?
try clearing cmos to see any difference.
beep from system sound or keyboard? it seemed you can turn on pc but no display.

Thanks BerylLee, Silly me, forgot the basic rule to check the simple things first ...on/off switch was the problem. Case is only a few months old so overlooked the obvious.
