A quick recap - my 75-300 has been to Canon RCC twice in the last couple of
weeks. After a £120 bill the IS was supposedly fixed & tested but was still
making double images.
Some useful replies from guys on the newsgroup were copied and sent to
Canon, along with pictures illustrating the problem.
A very apologetic call from Canon this morning: the lens is going to be
collected and the IS completely replaced rather than repaired.
So, thanks for your help. Let's hope it's third time lucky 
)
