Please help me identify this game

My son came home from visiting a friend asking for a game called "Kaya
and the Ring of Darkness". From googling, I see that there is a game
called "Summoner 2" featuring a character called Maia - is that it? He
seems to think that's not it.

Someone else took a different phonetic track, and suggested "Disgaea."
I wonder if the game he meant is "Kya: Dark Lineage."
