Just take a cleaver and chop a FX-8150 in half to get 4 cores.

The procedure is fairly simple.

Even if you used WinRAR at maximum compression, the time to decompress it would take longer than to actually process something. So, it would still be slower...

witching of cores, don't really know what is meant by this, or if you are refering to server grade setups with multiple processors?
