G.Skill Ares Vs Mushkin Blackline Ridgeback

I am looking at either a 2x4GB or 2x8Gb 1600 Mhz set of ram for my new build. Just want to know if there is really any difference.

System basics are:
i5 3570K
Asrock Z77 extreme 4
Samsung 840 120/250 GB
Asus GTX670 DC2T

There's no difference in brands of ram unless you are overclocking it. For most purposes, you don't need to overclock ram, so get whichever is cheaper.

I would go with the G.Skill Ares just because of the better feedback, and the lower DOA% (dead on arrival)
