Yesterday I built my first computer and apart from a few things it has gone well. I've been running it for a few hours now and everything works apart from one thing... The internet.

When I plug in my Ethernet cable to my computer it just glows orange and flashes yellow and It won't recognise my router. According to some research this is due to no drivers being installed on the computer for the Ethernet cable, but I don't know how to install them :( Would they be on the disk that came with the motherboard? My motherboard is an Asus M5A97 Pro.

Thanks in advance.

You can see if you are missing any other drivers by going:

Start > Right Click "Computer" > Click "Manage" > Click "Device Manager"

If any drivers are missing or there are any problems with drivers, you will see some kind of warning symbols here.

As previously mentioned though, all drivers for your motherboard will be either on the ASUS disk that came with your motherboard, or will be available for download from the ASUS website.
