Fix d drive

when defraging my pc.....it's telling me my d drive is 96 % fragmented and only has 1 % free space....i just bought this pc and don't know why

whats wrong and how can i fix it ?

What sort of data is on your D drive? Is it your restore disk? What make/model/specs are we talking about here?

yes it's my recovery drive

True and good advice. Since this is the recovery partition, just leave it alone. You really should do nothing to it. Also, HP likely bundles an app to convert your recovery partition into recovery disks. If so, you should run the program and make some backup disks. Doing so will alllow you to have the option to do away with the recovery partition and re-use that portion of your HDD as storage space.
