Does anyone know why it is whey your remove a sata disk, the entire boot sequence gets messed up?
Not the boot devices list, but the list of hard disks.
I have noticed this on two of my pc's. One a Gigabyte motherboard, the other Supermicro.
I have a headless server sitting in the hallway. Every time I remove a disk or add a new one the server won't boot again and I have to attach a screen and keyboard to get into the bios to move things around again... very annoying.
Does anyone know a way around this?
Or am doing something wrong in formatting the other disks so the bios thinks there is an OS on it but there is not and so it halts?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
