Most of our Z77 series will do the job for you on a basic gaming build.

1) Are you planing on overclocking?

2) Do you need onboard Wi-Fi?

3) Do you have plans on running more than one GPU in the future and maybe a soundcard?

Depending on your needs above, I can make some recommendations. Perhaps members here will chime in as well.

I don't plan on overclocking just yet. And no im not gonna need onboard wifi, i plan on having a wired connection. As far as the GPU goes, yea im going to run more than one later on in the future. More than likely no soundcard. I'd appreciate recommendations nonetheless. Thanks.

Take a look at the P8Z77-V LK or LE and see if either has everything you need.

IM running all those stuff so far except the graphics card, nvidia is my favorite choice but im running a Gigabyte 7870 which is amazing in my opinion and many others for about 50 dollars less, runs much cooler. keep in mind for gcard substitutions, but anyways back to other parts; definitely look for a z77

Case: i recommend a full atx case but im using mid which the GCARD will have a nice squeeze in with mid atx cases. go full
