Solved RAM heat spreaders Tags: Memory G.SKILL Heat RAM Last response: March 7, 2013 11:32 PM in Memory Share ruben7 March 7, 2013 10:37:50 PM Hi guys. I have a heat spreader from a broken G.Skill. Can I use it in another stick? Are these things universal? Even if it doesn't cool down much, just want to protect it a bit. Most of them should be universal, if the ram stick you are replacing it with looks the same then yes (as in has memory chips on the proper sides) (some ram only use one side, some use both, depends on what yah got) | Report abuse Reply to mouse24 ruben7 March 7, 2013 10:55:59 PM Best answer selected by ruben7. | Report abuse Reply to ruben7 Shockeray March 7, 2013 11:32:03 PM good to know that, I was wondering the same thing. thx | Report abuse Reply to Shockeray Register or log in to remove Ask the community Post an answer Tom's Hardware>Forum>Memory>RAM heat spreaders> Related ressources: ForumSolvedDo heat spreaders on low profile ram work?
