Hi everyone. I'm new to the computer building scene and looking to build myself a mini gaming pc. I recently got promoted to number two welder at work so my pay has gone up somewhat and I'm looking to build a new computer. The problem with my job is that I travel up and down the country a lot so I'm looking to build something a little more portable than a full blown desktop yet more powerful than a laptop. I'm not 100% sure on what I'm doing but I've searched a few things already and found some parts that I'd like to order so I'll list them below.
Do you think these parts would fit in this case and stay reasonably cool? Also I know I need a CPU fan but I'm not sure what exactly I'm looking at as I've never done this before!! If I've missed anything please let me know and if you could please go a step further and recommend an item then I'd be eternally grateful. I'll be watching this thread like a hawk so I'm anticipating all your responses. Thanks very much for help and I'll be sure to reply often until this whole thing is figured out!!
Looking at pictures of the case, it appears there is a MoBo mounted near the bottom of the case facing downward. How would you fit a GPU in there?
The only thing mini in your build is the case and the MB. You really need a mid-tower case to hold all of those parts. RAM you have chosen is 4 sticks, you can only fit 2 sticks of RAM on that MB.
How will you be transporting this, in a private vehicle? What about the monitor?
If you are just gaming you don't need an I7 2700. An I5 2500K is a gamer's CPU. You will need an aftermarket HSF for that, Cooler Master Hyper 212+ is popular and cheap.
Start looking at Coolermaster Storm Scout Black Mid Tower Computer Case http://www.scan.co.uk/products/coolermaster-storm-scout...
That case would also allow for a full ATX MB.
