Hi all,

I am thinking of upgrading my processor after playing the Diablo 3 beta this past weekend, but I am looking for an input. D3 actually ran flawlessly at High settings, but I was thinking that an extra $120 could really improve performance. The 960T and the 965 BE are almost identical in price, so I am just looking for user input or thoughts which processor would give me a better bang for my buck. The architectures are different... and assuming no 6th core unlock (which may remove the 960T's only advantage), in terms of OC which is a better buy. My system is as follows

Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD4P
XFX GTS 250
4 gigs DDR2 @ 1066 OCed to 1200
currently - Phenom/Athlon 7750 OCed to 3.4

If you want a safe bet and easy OC then the 965BE

The 960T will OC high but takes a little more work to get there. The reason to buy the 960T is the chance of getting a 6 or 5 core for the price. (you need to make sure your bios is updated for the thuban CPU's).

Both are similar in performance so really take the 965BE for the easy ride or take the 960T if you want to take a punt.
