I'm not personally a fan of AMD cpus so i recommend an i5-2400 for your price range and there are new motherboards out there for about $100 dollars with SATA 3, USB 3.0, PCIe 3.0 and all the thing you could ever want to future proof your PC i got a Radeon HD 6870 even cheaper than that. Lastly you should get at least get a 500 GB HDD, i know they suddenly got allot more expensive because of the flood but it's only $10 dollars more. i am also Canadian but i would really recommend using newegg.com USA. you will save money guaranteed.
