I am trying to change the screen operation of my new computer from 1024 X
768 to 1600 X 1200 to take advantage of the monitor and graphics card. Both
handle this resolution fine. However, I am stumped in trying to make
Windows XP Pro change all its default fonts to a larger font, so that they
are readable.

I have gotten half the fonts to show correctly by following following the
following instructions:
Desktop > Appearance > Advanced, etc. as detailed in the Microsoft Knowledge
Base article Q310543.

I have changed the DPI to 96DPI for the screen (120 DPI was too big).

I have gone into each of the Windows Elements in the Windows Classic theme
that I ma using and changed all the possible fonts to 14 from the original
8.

I have also gone into separate applications and reset their default fonts to
readable fonts (Outlook, Word, etc.)

However, there is one or two font settings that I have not been able to
locate. They are the ones for pull down options, the login screen, any
secondary or child windows of certain applications and windows XP
applications.

Somewhere there must be another setting that resets this font set.

Does anyone have any idea where that is? After all, the login screen
prompts and login fields should resize to handle higher resolutions!!

Please help. I am so close to getting this working (I hope).

Thanks

Mickey
