Radeon HD 6850: good mid range choice?

Hey Guys,

Looking at building a new rig and was looking for a Mid range graphics card with good value for money.
Will be using for moderate gaming and also a little of photoshop and terragen.
I saw the HD 6850 around $150USD and was wondering is it worth paying $20-$50 for something a little better like the 6870 or maybe 470/ 570Ti?
What card and brands do you recommend?
Really my max is $250 but obviously cheap is better, just a question of is it worth paying $50-100 more for that increased performance.

Wait for some Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals to show up on the GTX 560 Ti or the HD 6950 1GB/2GB.

The HD 6950 isn't worth it at this point, even the cheaper 1gb version because the 560ti is $20 cheaper for the same performance. The HD 6870 is a great performer at its price - the $20 jump from an HD 6850 is definitely worth it.

I'd go with at least the 6870 if not a 560ti or 6950. The 6970 is probably the best bang for the buck and only a bit more expensive than the 6850.

I think ill look for 6950 deals over the weekend. Should i go for 6870 or 560ti as my second option?
