M5a97 r2.0 usb port help

built my computer using the Asus M5a97 r2.0 motherboard. looking at the manual I have everything plug in the right places and after updating all the drivers on my devices I just noticed that i'm recieving zero response from the rear usb ports or the front panel on my cougar mid tower case.

Everything else is running smooth from the graphics card, cpu, fans but the ports. Audio and lan are working fine

I'm at a lose for word on the problem and after i talk with tech support I'm going to return the item if i dont find a solution.

It might be an issue with the 5V bus. Try testing a different power supply if possible. If still the same, then it's a board issue.
