Best graphics card for my system

My system is
Intel C2D E7400 2.8GHz
Intel DG41WV
4 GB Ram
450 W PSU with (20A on 12v rail,28A on 3.3v rail)
LG sata DVD Drive
Samsung sata HDD 500GB,7200rpm

DOES 6770 work on my system?
I bought a 9600GT at it doesnt work on my mobo it worked on my previous boards but DG41WV is not detecting it

SUGGEST ME A GOOD GRAPHICS CARD

HD 6770 is PCIE 2.1 GPU, you might have a compatibility issue with your board, even though that PCIE 2.1 is the same as PCIE 2.0 but some guys reported compatibility issues with PCIE reveison 1.1.
So better stick with nVidia GPUs they are PCIE 2.0 and totally compatible with PCIE 1.1 jsut make sure you're running with the latest BIOS.
