Need help looking through my build selection (First timer hehe)

Hi guys!

This is going to be my first time building a computer. I've done a fair share of reading and research, but I'm still not sure if the pieces I have selected are optimal. Your input/opinon is greatly appreciated!

I mostly game and do some photo editing. I also have a 24" monitor.

CPU : I5 2500k
MOBO : Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 Motherboard
RAM : Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600MHz CL9 Dual Channel Kit
GPU : MSI Radeon HD 6970 Lightning
PSU : Antec earthwatt 750
Hard drive : Western Digital 500GB Vaviar Blue 7200rpm
Case : CM 690 advanced

Looks pretty good to me. You have a CPU cooler in mind? The Hyper 212 Evo is cheap and should get you to a 4.5Ghz overclock pretty well.

Overclocking is something I'm kinda scared to try right now lol. I haven't read up too much on it yet, but it is something i want to try eventually (reason why I'm willing to ditch out the extra dough for the k version of the CPU).

The hyper 212 seems like a good choice tho, ty!
