ATI 5850 or 6870 2gb?

Currently i'm running crossfire and would like a preformance boost. I'm running an ATI 5850 1GB from XFX and am wondering if upgrading to this card:

would help with eyefinity games? I play iRacing and Battlefield 3 mostly.

mobo: Asus M5A97
ram: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 8GB (2x 4GB sticks ) 1600Mhz
PSU: OCz Stealth Xtreme 600w
CPU: AMD II x6 1055T six-core @ 3.4GHz
resolution 4320 X 900

6950 would be the way to go.

agree with 4745454b said, I would think that for most games, yes...
Your 5850 has equally (more/less) power as 6870, and if you want better fps, i would suggest the 6950...

Yes it would. 2GBs on the 6870 won't make any difference, the chip itself is slower then the 6950. The 6870 is only a bit faster then the 5850, so its not worth it to spend the money.

you would want the 2gb 6950 for eyefinity, you dont want to skimp on VRAM when running eyefinity. also the 6870 is about as powerful as a 5850 so no use to get it.
